Where AI tools are used

AI tools assist with parts of this publication's workflow: research organisation, outline structuring, drafting support, editing, and the technical build of the website itself (this site's code, templates, and design system were built with AI assistance under direct human direction). Some early drafts were produced with AI assistance and then substantively edited, fact-checked, and approved by a human editor before publication.

What AI does not do here

AI-generated drafts are not published automatically or without review. AI tools do not invent quotes, personal experiences, or credentials — content presented as first-hand experience (see our Field Notes) reflects the actual, truthful experience of the named author, not a fabricated narrative. AI tools do not fabricate statistics, studies, or sources; every material claim is expected to trace back to a real, checkable source per our Fact-Checking Policy.

Human review is required

Every article that reaches publication has been reviewed by a human editor against this publication's editorial standards, sourcing requirements, and risk classification (see our Content Review Policy) before it goes live. We do not mass-publish unreviewed AI output, and we don't treat volume as a goal in itself.

Why we're not claiming "100% human-written"

Some publishers claim their content is entirely human-written without AI assistance of any kind. We're not making that claim, because it wouldn't be accurate for how this site was built and is maintained. We think a specific, honest account of the workflow is more useful to a reader — and more durable — than a blanket claim that doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

As the publication grows and adds dedicated writers, editors, and expert reviewers, this page will be updated to reflect the actual, current workflow — not a static claim made at launch and left unmaintained.
